Scrapbooking Maniac..

Spending the weekend at my moms is like going to a retreat. I bring my scrapbook junk and just scrap my heart away. There's also naps, food and childcare! It always takes me a while to get back in the groove of scrappin' beings I don't get to anymore hardly at all. I don't even know how, seems like. Retreats like this though relax my mind and help me to just escape. One time while having dinner with my daughter and her theatre friends, I heard her say that she gets to be someone else when she is on stage. That broke my heart terribly and I talked to one of my friends about it with tears in my eyes then she gently asked me, "what do you do to escape?" I replied, "scrapbook." She said, "alright then." And it's so true. I'm sure that most of you feel that way. I am a high strung person and scrapbooking relaxes me. Having time with my parents and the way they spoil us is wonderful. At the same time, I look forward to being home with my honey, my "fuffy dog" and the store. It's great to walk into the store and to love what you do. God is good. I also love to see your faces. Come visit soon...

Oh My Gosh!

I am so sorry for all of you that recieved 5,000 emails from us this afternoon. Please know that I would not have done that. I thought the problem was with Verizon, but Mike said that the problem had come from Microsoft Outlook. Geez... Please, oh please, forgive! I will be on my knees before we send the next one out. It had never done this before.
I get worried that I already send too much emails. Always keep up with the blog for blogger specials. Danielle will also put Lance's attachments to a post in the next day or two. (Foreign to me.) Sign ups are coming soon! Probably right after the new year.
If we don't see you before, Merry Christmas!!

Scrapbook Stars!

Finally back to the blog thing. I have been working on some pretty big stuff. In the crop room I have started a "Wall of Fame." Elsie's picture is there already. I have 2 more "Wall of Famers" coming to the "Junkie." First is Lance from Rusty Pickle! He will be teaching 3 classes. The first one will be on Jan. 15th @ 3:00, then later that evening at 7:30. His classes last for 3 hours. He will also teach a class on Jan. 16th @ 6:00. All 3 classes are different and so cool. (Maybe I will be able to send some pics here shortly.) Check out Rusty Pickles website at www.rustypickle.com. Then we have Teresa Collins! Her classes will be on Feb. 1st and 2nd. What a birthday present that will be for me! Lol. These are both big names in the scrapbook industry. They are scrapbook stars! Teresa has a big announcment to make Jan. 1st on her blog so keep an eye out for that @ www.teresacollins.typepad.com. Teresa will have her samples at the store for you to see around the 1st of the year. Sign-ups will start very shortly. Dates for that will be mentioned here on the blog and by email. We are surely enjoying the new store. Be sure to keep an eye on our calendar too. We have a New Years Crop on Dec. 31st from 10:00am - Midnight. Read the details on the calendar. Hope to have you join us. We need at least 10 people. I want yall to send me some comments. After my first post I watched it all day long to see if someone was there. Thanks to those who did respond! Check out Lance's Bio below!

I am married to Mrs. Pickle, Tasha, and have two sweet baby pickles, Audrey (3) and Mason (1). I manufacture and sell "scrapbook stuff" and then get to teach how to make amazing projects designed with this “great stuff” all over the world. While I am not creative, yet I am full of it and have a blast teaching (Tasha is the creative genius behind Rusty Pickle). Being creatively challenged my best source of class ideas come from MY FABULOUS designers (AKA Rusty Pickle Chefs). A few of my favorite things are My Family, Pickles, My iPod and other people's food! I also love a day at the lake with my family and friends.

Hey Junkies!!

Can you believe? Finally my daughter came home from LA and hooked me up with a blog! I'm afraid this will be addicting. I'll turn into a "Blog Junkie." We are getting all settled into the new store. We've already had people enjoying the crop room. I love to see that! We've had a ton of new people stumbling by. That's been so cool too. I am also going to learn how to put pictures here. Check me out! Add me to your favorites and keep an eye out for what's going on at "The Junkie."
Don't forget that this Saturday is our Garage Sale, beginning at 8:00 a.m. Come in for great deals!
