Hey yall,
Another week has gone by and we’ve received more new products. We’ve had an exciting week!
*Teresa Collins’ products rolled in like 4 days ago.
*Best Creations came in on Tuesday.
*A bit of the new K & Company stuff… It won’t last long, that’s for sure. Probably should re-order today.
*Technique Tuesday’s new stuff came in today.
* A tad of the new KI Memories

Last week we received cool sparkle brads from Karen Foster and I emailed you and told you that they would be gone soon and I would have to re-order quick, and I did, they are gone!
We have a couple of FREE make-n-takes this Saturday. Our last make-n-take that we held on a Saturday was very successful… so thanks we are going to do it again! So, this Saturday we have 2 of them planned, and also some demos. People have been asking for Cricut demos, so yep, we are gonna be doing them. The gal that I have to do them is the Cricut queen. She can answer ANY question that you have about it. She’s the best. Then I have a stamping rep that is going to come by and play around with some of her stamps!
The make-n-takes will be from 1:00-3:00 (while quantities last) and the demos will be from 1:00-3:00 also. Here’s a couple of pictures.

Last weekend we had a drawing that was held on my birthday and Mrs. Carol Arce was the lucky winner of a $50.00 gift card… Go Carol!
We appreciate your support. Thanks!

Introducing Our Junkie Designer of the Month

I thought it would be fun for you all to get to know our new Scrapbook Junkie Design Team. So starting this month we will feature one designer per month. Each of the designers has responded to some questions that we thought would give you insight into who they are and what inspires them creatively. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know each of these ladies. They are all unique in their style and personality. Look for this Designer of the Month Banner on our blog each month.

This month the Designer of the Month is Heidi Mansion. Be sure and visit her blog often http://www.nsslnuttyscrapper.blogspot.com/ so you can see her creativity at work!

Q. Share a favorite photo of yourself.

I love this photo because it is me and my two boys. They are the light of my life.

Q. What part of the Houston area do you live in? What do you love about living there?
A. I have lived in League City since early 2004. I love it here. It has a small town feel, yet it has everything you need.

Q. What is your 'day' job?

A. I am an Engineering Systems Coordinator for Texas New Mexico Power Company. I am blessed to have such a wonderful job and to be employed by a great company.

Q. Describe your scrap space. (Dedicated room, dining room table, closet, etc...)

A. About a year ago I took over our game room and moved all my scrapping stuff in. I love it. The space is bright and I have lots of room to invite friends to scrap with me.

Q. How did you start scrapbooking?

A. I actually started out as a rubber stamper. I fell so completely in love with stamping and would teach classes on the weekends. Then I tried scrapbooking and have been hooked ever since. I love that in scrapbooking you are creating memories for your family that will be enjoyed for years to come.

Q. How long have you been scrapbooking?

A. I have been paper crafting since 1996, but I only actually started scrapbooking in 2004.

Q. How often do you scrapbook?

A. I try to scrapbook every weekend. Weekday scrapping is a luxury for me because of work and homework with the kids, but occasionally I sneak in a little scrapping on the weekdays.

Q. How long does it take you to create a layout?

A. Depending on the complexity of the layout, it can take me as little as a couple hours or as much as a couple days. I am a perfectionist and I am very methodical in my scrapping.

Q. What is your favorite product line right now?

A. I adore Prima products. My husband always laughs because I tell him “DO NOT LET ME BUY ANY MORE FLOWERS!” and then I do anyway. I just adore them.

Q. Describe your Scrapbooking style?

A. I am more of a traditional scrapper. I like clean lines and classic feminine styling. I love flowers and elegant embellishments. I love muted and earthy colors. And I adore pink, BUT I don’t have girls so I don’t get to scrap pink very often.

Q. Share a favorite layout & why it's your favorite. Be sure to make note of what products you used.

A. Right now my favorite layout is the one I just did for the Junkie challenge. I love the colors, the embellishments and I love the photo. My husband and I took that picture just for the layout. We were joking around a few minutes before my oldest son snapped the shot. Many people have commented that the expression of love on our faces is so real. And you know what, it is real. We have a genuine love and respect for each other. I have the best husband in the world.
