Wow!

Let me just say, "Wow!" What a great day we had at the "Junkie." It was buzzing! Did yall all play hookie from work today? I couldn't believe it! Today we recieved the new DCWV, and they have some cool, cool glitter paper stacks. I will be adding a whole bunch more of that line to the store. And it's so reasonable. It's awesome! We also recieved the "Journal-Its" from Teresa's line. I would LOVE to see what you all are making with it. Her products are selling great. Her style, man-oh-man... If only I scrapbooked! I will someday, (well, that's what I keep telling myself.) I don't even know how to scrapbook anymore. Seriously. Yall have fun shopping! Can't wait to see you... We are truly blessed. You Houston ladies rock!

Houston Area Shop Hop!

Just one more day, and the "Shop Hop" begins! I know many of you are just waiting for the fun. Are your maps planned out? Try not to run over each other while scootin' around town & honk if you are a scrapbooker! Someone asked me today what the exclusions would be and I replied to them, "Well, the Navigators, the Cricut cartridges & the Clip-it-ups." Heck no, cancel that... there are NO exclusions on your purchases! We have a couple of other little surprises for the week. Maybe a chance to win free products? I probably can speak for all the stores, thank you for supporting us!

Here First! Teresa Collins products!

The boxes with Teresa's fantastic line of products arrived yesterday and went out for sale today. It's cool! I had ordered in 2's so that the first round of people didn't buy it all. It's here in perfect time for our "Houston Area Shop Hop!" We also recieved the new Daisy D's line of products. Ladies have been asking me if I would open at 9:30a.m. on Friday & Saturday, for the "Shop Hop" and the answer is "YES." Between all of us stores, you will have some rounds to make. We are so excited to see all of you! We are hoping that lots of other new stuff will be in by then. As it comes in we will not stop until it's all entered in.

I had a "surprise" party this weekend. Yall, nobody can pull stuff like that off on me. I'm too slick. Hahahah... Never in a million years would I have thought I was having a surprise party. Geez, my birthday was all the way back on Feb. 1st. We had drove to Laf. on Friday for the visiting hours of our friend that passed away, and then the kids wanted to stay in Lake Charles until Sunday. Little did they know that they would be coming back to Houston the same day we came home (on Saturday). My daughter, Sydni, was so upset that she didn't have another night at my mom's. She said, "momma's birthday last too long! Ours is just for a day!" I told her that mine goes all the way through Feb.! More gifts came my way again... LOVED it! One that was dear to my heart was the gift from my daddy. I have a Starbucks mug collection and he had bought one for me in Amsterdam. He had just been there for work. Awe. As I walked in, everyone said "surprise", and i put my hands in front of my face and turned to cry. If you know me personally, I cry. Then when i turned back, i saw things in slow motion and I saw my mom & dad. I cried more. I saw a cake with my baby picture on it, balloons, so many many special things. The details that were put into that party totally amazed me! What a blessing to turn 40! It's not bad at all. Hahahah... the gals that put their time into planning this, were even considering flying Danielle in for the party. Can you imagine? Wow! Then to even top that off, our own personal photographer for the store (glenna harding) and her family were there to take pics at the party! I'll have to post some of them when I get them. I felt so pampered.
Must get rest...
P.S. Thanks for taking time to read the "Junkie" blog!

Home again...

Whew! What a trip we had to California. I was able to spend a couple of days with my girl before CHA started, so that was fantastic. Toured around on Sunset Blvd. & Rodeo Drive. Danielle was able to come with me to the first day of show. She had to go see Elsie, and then she wanted to meet Teresa. That was the first stops on our agenda. We went to say hi to a couple of others, so I wanted to share with you. Glad to be home though. Check these out...

Elsie, Teresa & Karen Russell

Lance, Melody Ross & Heidi Swapp

Ali Edwards & Vicki Boutin

Downtown Disney enjoying some Beignets!

Spent way too much money, but what the heck... to see the excitement on your faces is worth it.

The Houston Area Scrapbook Round Up is about to get off to a great start. We are all preparing for your visits. Call if you don't have your passports yet.

Have a blessed night. We have to run tomorrow night to Lafayette to another funeral of a great friend. We would truly appreciate your prayers for the family.

And the Winner is.....

We had our first "Product Challenge" @ our new location. I gave each participant a bit of Heidi Swapp metallics and also bits and pieces of her other products. I also gave them the Bazzill stitch paper and a couple sheets of bling cardstock. It was so awesome to see how each of you had different ideas. We surely have some talented scrapbookers! The winner of our contest was Mrs. Kathleen Davies!

Her layout is displayed in our front window with a "star" on it. It's great! The picture is incredible! She also recieved a $25.00 gift certificate. Congrats Kathleen. (you go girl!)

I'm leaving in the morning to head to Cali. to go to CHA, so if you didn't get my email, I wanted you all to know that from Sunday-Wed., we have different product lines on sale each day. We are giving away a $100.00 gift certificate every day of CHA. For each $25.00 you spend, your name will go into a drawing. Each day the drawing will start new. We have our clearance paper and our 50% off racks jam packed. You will get reward stamps on ALL products! Call the store for more details on which vendors are on sale.
We have already seen boxes of new products coming through the front door. Take a ride over and see how things are beginning to be moved around. It will be a surprise for you to see what we'll have coming. I'll be sending daily blogs as new stuff comes in after CHA! I'm getting the hang of this... it's fun! Danielle is not here to proof read, so you'll just have to hear the "cajun" broken up english!
See yall...

February starts off right!

My birthday couldn't have been any better than it was. Mike & I woke up and I went to the kids rooms to give them a kiss before I left for the day, and the first thing that Gavin said, (still asleep) was, "Happy Birthday Momma." (Then the neck hug.) Sydni then said "Yeah Mom, Happy Birthday." I had a card from Danielle telling me that she wished we could be together on my 40th birthday, but for me to be assured that I would always be young and beautiful to her. Awe... I must say that my tears did flow knowing that we wouldn't be together. The text messages and phone calls kept me busy in the morning wishing me a happy 40th! I just LOVE my birthday. Then off I go. My next stop was the mall... (Gap, that is.) Afterwards, I drove up at the store and was surprised to see a large picture of me hanging on the front door, of when I was a little girl. I had balloons, gifts, flowers and a wonderful cake! This is so much my love language. The celebration began!

Then off to the airport to pick up our very special package! Teresa and her honey. We felt like we had known each other forever. It seemed as if we just picked up where we left off. What a joy it was to have them at our store. Wished it would have lasted for a week! What a great lady! I can't wait to go to the show and say hello again.

Now, to class time. The class went so smooth. The store was a buzzin', that's for sure. The projects turned out incredible, because you all are so talented! It was totally cool! I LOVED having you all at the store. Thanks for coming!

Then came a "star" moment for Sydni & Gavin!

So now, it's off to California in just a couple of days to buy some cool stuff! I know you will see many "sneek" peeks from all over but I want to keep you guessing on what will be coming to the "Junkie!" When the new products start rolling in, I will be bloggin' everynight!

P.S. All of Teresa's products will be coming in double doses! Yall get ready! Hope to see you soon...

Love...

Hey, if you are needing some ideas on Valentine Card sayings, I came across some and wanted to pass them along.

*My love for you is a journey; starting at forever and ending at never.
*True love does not come by finding the perfect person, but by learning to see an imperfect person perfectly.
*My love for you is like a circle; it has no end.
*I don't wish to be something to everyone, but I would like to be everything to you.
*You know when you have found your prince because you not only have a smile on your face but in your heart as well.
*When you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with somebody, you want the rest of your life to start right then.
*In your face I see honor, truth and loyalty.
*It was not into my ear you whispered, but into my heart. It was not my lips you kissed, but my soul.
*There was one single moment tonight, where I looked up, your eyes captured my soul and I fell in love with you all over again.
*When you love someone, all your saved-up wishes start coming out.
*A promise made is a promise forever.
*There are a million things that I don't know, but one that I surely know-I love you.
*Do you know that it would take you forever to realize the extent of my love for you?
*Love is patient; love is kind. It does not envy; it does not boast; it is not proud. It is not rude; it is not self-seeking; it is not easily angered; it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 1 Cor. 13:4-7
*Love puts the fun in together, the sad in apart, the hope in tomorrow, the joy in the heart.
*True love is when you're still dancing, long after the music has stopped.
*And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper." Gen. 2:18

I challenge you to mail a few Valentine cards out. Put your paper crafting art into practice and enjoy! I can't wait to sit at my scrapbook table and make some myself.
