Did you know?

Hi everyone!
Scrapbook Junkie is looking for 5 of the best scrapbookers out there to be on our Design Team for 2009!
If you would like to tryout to be a designer for Scrapbook Junkie, you must sign up in advance before Wednesday, October, 29th. Tryout packets will be available for pick up on Saturday, November, 1st at the store.

Tryout Packets contain a set of pictures (everyone will have the same pictures to work with), and guidelines for trying out. Your job is to let your creative style come through and come up with a winning layout. You may use the supplies you have on hand to complete the layout. The entry must be turned in by November 15th. The layouts will be judged by our Design Team Coordinators. Winners will be announced on Monday, November 24th.

If you make our Design Team, you will be obligated to meet monthly at the store. Here you will turn in layouts and get your next assignment and to do team projects periodically. Being on the design team is a lot of fun, but it is an obligation. You will be challenged to use certain in store products to create your layout.

Boo...

Plan to join us for our first annual “Boo Bash” crop that will be held on Oct. 24th!
Our event co-ordinator has been working hard on preparing goodies for each one of you that attend.
The cost is only 10 bucks. We may have a “sale” treat for you too! Call to reserve your spot…
We are also having an “All Day Crop” on November 1st from 10a -10p. This is also only 10 bucks
and it’ll be a great time to get some Christmas presents made. We will also have a few gift ideas at that time. Boy, do I have a list to make. I have already started, believe it or not. Miracle.

Thanks to all of you who were able to make it out last weekend for our breast cancer fundraiser.
We are going to continue it throughout the whole month of October,
so if you still want to contribute to the raffle or kits, come on by.

We will have to reschedule the classes that Caroline with Maya Road was going to teach.
Mr. Hurricane put a little damper on that event also. I don’t yet have the dates, but trust me,
you will know as soon as I do. Ha!
Speaking of classes, if you had signed up for Vicki Boutin’s classes,
they have been rescheduled for Nov. 21st & 22nd.
She is sending her samples to the store early November.
The response to Karen Russell’s photography class has been astounding.
We are taking all of the tables down so that we can accommodate the many people that are calling to sign up.
There’s still a little bit of people that we can take. If you are interested in that, please call as soon as you can.
Check out the way Karen shoots pictures @ www.karenrussell.typepad.com

Speaking of photographers, our very own, Mrs. Glenna Harding is coming back to the store
to take family Christmas pictures. Glenna started this service the first year that I was in business.
She is incredible and wonderfully priced. I know that you who have used her before can agree to that!
The date for pictures is Nov. 15th.
Just call the store to reserve your time slot and all she requires is a deposit of 25 $. Take a look at her website: www.glennahardingphotography.blogspot.com

Ok, what else? That’s a lot already.
Yall come by, the store is busting with fall, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas junk!
There are just too many vendors to list!
Have a great, great weekend yall..

Mrs. Maya Road...

I have details re: Caroline with Maya Road (co-owner) coming to teach here! The dates are Oct. 17th & 18th. The projects should be here at the store by Friday so that you can see them in person! So if you are coming by for the Breast Cancer stuff, you can check ‘em out. This is one of the booths at the CHA shows that I can’t take enough pictures in. In person, they are even 100% better. So, go imagine that! She said that IF you take more than one class you will be able to come to the Make-n-Take on Friday evening AND get a gift from them worth 8 bucks retail. So here’s the schedule. Sign ups begin now…. And prices are great!

Friday, October 17th – 5-6pm – FREE Make-n-Take for those signing up for more than 1 class! PLUS the extra gift!

Friday, October 17th – 6:30 – 9pm – “Soar Wings Album” - $40.00 For this album, you will get to create a beautiful wings album complete with gold misted cover for the wings. Lots of stamping, misting and more.

Saturday, October 18th – 10am-12:30pm – “Celebrate Mix-It-Up Album” - $40.00 Complete a Maya Road album by mixing 3 different maya road 4” coaster albums! You will get all 3 albums to use later. Lots of fun techniques including glitter and more.

Saturday, October 18th – 2-4:30pm – “Owl Always Love U Ablum” - $40.00 Create a fun little “owl” book binder album – if you are an owl lover, this one is for you – this book is full of the cute birds! Stamping, painting and flower making. (This one will be great for me to give to Danielle!)

Caroline will send us the supplies list soon. She was off in a hurry to finish getting ready for her weekend in the Netherlands to teach. We are blessed yall, to get teachers like this!
Thanks for shopping with us too!
