As for CRAZINESS, on Friday, we had quite a surprise 3 doors down @ the Dollar Crazy store. Danielle and Kelli heard a crash and ran out of the front door, and low and behold, an old lady driver ran her car into the Dollar store. Her car was IN the store. I'll share this picture with you and show you how scared the girls were. WOW!

June 1st begins our birthday month. It's so funny because my family and friends know that I like my Birthday to last for the whole month of February! Why shouldn't the "Junkie" enjoy the whole month of June? 3 years serving your addiction - AWESOME! Some of you probably could use a little rehab! We are in the midst of making our birthday plans, but 1 thing that I can tell you for now is that, on Friday, June 27th, we will be having our "Birthday Crop" along with MIDNIGHT MADNESS! If you aren't able to make it into the crop, the midnight madness does include YOU! It'll be mad, that's for sure! Then on Saturday, June 28th, it's Party Time! We will start the day off with "Early Bird" make & takes. The Party begins @ 8:00 a.m. At 10:00 a.m. we will begin "Popping Balloons!" When you spend $25.00 on regular priced merchandise you will then get to pop a balloon for your hidden savings. Our customers surely enjoy it! Will you party with us? Save the date...

AND.... "Young Junkie's Camp!" Our campers will be able to play with paper in all sorts of ways. The projects include an 8x8 summer album, birthday reminder calendar, family board book, paper crafted flower bouquet, clipboard, wall hanger, acrylic frame & a paper weight. They'll be busy campers, that's for sure. We have limited seats for the camp.

July 7th - 10th from 10:30am thru 2:30pm.
Cost is $125.00.
Campers must be 9 years old and above.
Bring your adhesive, brown chalk inks and your sack lunch!

Mother's Day...

Had a wonderful weekend in Lake Charles. Actually, the kids & I left on Thursday a.m. to head out. On Saturday, I was in charge of cooking the crawfish etoufee. 7 lbs. of it! Delicious, I must say. We surprised my mom, because she thought we were coming in on Saturday. She was also surprised when Dan gave her a slide show of family memories. It is the coolest! Shed some tears watching it! But one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend was the family baseball game. I am a baseball "Junkie." Myself and my girl "Kel" at the store totally love the Astros. I knew I had hired her for a reason! Anyways, I was able to cheer for the teams yesterday. Roy O., was played by Sydni. My dad was Berkman. Gavin played Biggio, and Dan was the slugger. There was also, Ausmus & A.Rod. (Yankee's). That's my dad's very favorite team. For Father's Day I am taking him to see the Yank's. I wanted to share a few pics of some of my favorite players. Mike was on the bench, so he didn't make the pictures! Ha.. He was actually in Lafayette.

Are you a baseball "Junkie" too? If so, call the store to sign up for our baseball crop on Friday, May 23rd from 6-Midnight. Special discounts given if you wear a baseball cap, and then even more discounts if you have both your baseball hat & shirt on! I cannot wait! I hope you all had a great weekend, and also a blessed week ahead.

NSD @ the "Junkie"

We began our festivities with a little goodie waiting for all of our croppers @ their seats. As they checked in we had a couple of more goodies for them. I couldn't believe that everyone had taken the day off from work. Scissors were busy and paper flying!

We had games, mini classes and a cool challenge. I think the challenge was one of my favorite parts. The creativity from each pod was incredible. Mike cooked delicious meals the whole time! Ha! Maybe gumbo next time??? We had prizes for both our croppers and customers. With that said, I want to congratulate those who won gift certificates!

Lisa Maxwell - $100 Molly Rainey - $50 Adriana Chicken - $50

Your fun $$$ is waiting for you. We will be calling all of our 7th shoppers in the next couple of days to congratulate them for their door prize also. Thank you all for all of the fun!

Beth

Glitz Fun!

We had a packed house and a great day & evening at the store yesterday. The Glitz Girls were wonderful and their classes were awesome! Thank you ladies!

With NSD coming right along, we will be finishing up the last touches of our plans. We cannot wait for not only our croppers, but our shoppers too. I'll be sending out an email on Monday, reminding you of all the fun that'll be going on at the Junkie. NSD is a great day for a scrapbooker, isn't it?

My Dan is home. It was great to wrap my arms around her and to know that we were all safely joined back together.

Have a Happy Happy Sunday!

Incredible Night!

Hey yall! It's been a while. Had so much to catch up at the store and just more and more ideas popping into our heads for NSD. For you gals that didn't get to join us, due to it selling out so quickly, you will have another opportunity to spend a weekend with us soon. Check out the calendar for June and you will see that we will be having our "Scrapbook Junkie Alternative" weekend. It's the same weekend as CKU, but for a much more reasonable fee. And again, we load you down with fun things and food! More details to come right after NSD.
I know many of you want to hear about the Rick Springfield concert. I thought that it would be ok, that it would be a nice evening, but geez, I never expected it to be that good! Yall, first of all, he doesn't look bad or old at all! (or is it that I'm growing in age too?) During the first song, we made our way to the front about 4 people away from the stage. He was rockin'. Just like he did when I saw him years ago. He can surely play that guitar. From the very beginning they teased us with "Jessie's Girl." Did you know that he had 17 top 40 hits. He was big in his day. Now for the good part. After a while, his guitar guy put Rick on a headset microphone, and into the crowd he came. You should have seen the women trying to touch him. It was crazy! I'm gonna leave it at that! Want to know more? Come by the store! Ha! So then he continued to climb into the crowd for a while and when he came back up front, his shirt was torn into shreds in the back. Ha. 40'ish yr. old women acting like teenagers! It was a sight to see!

So here it is...
